What is DNG file?
The DNG file extension is a digital image file with a.dng file extension. Digital Negative Image File is a type of RAW image file that contains data that is not yet processed by an imaging processor. This means that all the unprocessed data can be found in these types of files. The main difference between this and other image formats like JPEG, TIFF etc., nis that they are not compressed using lossless compression. Lossless compression compresses your images into smaller sizes without sacrificing any quality or detail from the original, whereas JPEG and TIFF compress your images into smaller sizes at some cost to quality and detail.
